Prepare Delicious Crab cakes for Enjoying the Divine Taste at Home

 

Would you like to have freshly cooked and mouth watering crab cakes? Well, I am sure that nobody on this earth can deny a delicious cake made up of crab. But, the problem arises, when you try to find out some delicious seafood recipes made out of crab and land into disappointment because often the recipes described lead you into cooking difficulties. But, now stay cool because I am going to tell you a delicious recipe of preparing cakes of crabs.

 

 

Seafood recipe for preparing crab cakes

 

Preparation time required: 30 minutes 

 

Cooking time required: 10 minutes

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lump of crabmeat
  • ¼ cup of unsalted butter
  • ½ cup fine chopped shallots
  • 1 teaspoon salt (kosher)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 and ½ teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika (sweet)
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons of prepared tartar sauce
  • ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper (fresh)
  • ¼ teaspoon Tabasco
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 4 slices of white bread, torn into small pieces after removing the crusts
  • 2/3 cup bread crumbs (fresh)

 

Preparation:

First, heat a tablespoon of butter in a small size skillet over medium flame.

 

Add shallots and a pinch of salt.

 

Cook the shallots until it turn translucent for a couple of minutes.

 

Don’t turn it brown.

 

Then, keep it aside for cooling.

 

Next, whisk the eggs together with Worcestershire sauce, a pinch of salt, paprika, fresh black pepper, tartar sauce, Tabasco, lemon zest, parsley, and the cooked shallots.

 

Then, with gentle hands fold in the crabmeat and bread pieces. Be as gentle as you can, to avoid breaking the crab meat lumps.

 

This mixture will be wet.

 

Clean your hands to take out a scoop to from a patty.

 

 Continue this process until you make 12 patties.

 

Be careful with the size of the patties.

 

Then, use a wax paper on a rimmed tray and sprinkle the bread crumbs on the bottom of the tray.

 

Set the crab cakes on a layer and again sprinkle the other half of the bread crumbs from the top.

 

At the end, cover it loosely with another wax paper and keep it in refrigerator for cooling.

 

Finally, heat the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet (non-stick) on medium flame.

 

When the butter starts foaming up, place the crab cakes in the pan and cook until these turn golden brown.

 

Within 3 minutes, your delicious crab cakes will be ready to serve.
