Take To Work Lunch Ideas

Bringing your lunch to work is something that most people don’t think about. You don’t think about it when you are rushing out the door and you want to get to work on time. But when you are sitting at work, and the hunger strikes, you remember you forgot your lunch. If you have made it a goal not to gain weight during 2012, you might want to start packing your lunch. Packing your lunch is a great way to save money, and not eat fatty foods. As easy as it might be to eat out everyday, it will take a toll on your body. If you need some ideas for what you can bring for lunch, here are some delicious ideas.

Chicken with sweet potato salad with pesto vinaigrette. This is a great recipe that only asks for 5 ingredients. I tried this, and it is delicious. It was also really easy to make. If you want to make it more filling (and nutritious) you can do this by adding lots more greens. This is a great lunch to pack in your Tupperware.

Tortellini with red pepper and cheese. This is a great recipe that will leave you very full. You can even add some chicken to this dish to make it even yummier. This will make you wonder why you haven’t brought lunch everyday!

Chicken sandwich. Sure, you think that you can get this anywhere, but the twist is that you add beans, cilantro, avocado, and sour cream. This is a hearty sandwich that will leave you very full.

Chicken empanadas. This is a great recipe to make if you have a lot of chicken. You can get some puff pastry and make these delicious little treats. You might have to hide these from your co-workers because they will want to steal these treats from you.

Turkey sandwich with salsa. It might sound like a boring classic, but you can upgrade this by adding pineapple salsa to this turkey sandwich.

When you start bringing these meals to work, you will realize what you have been missing out on! You won’t want to go out to get your lunch anymore, you will want to bring it from home! Sure, it does take extra time to prepare your meals, but it is totally worth it. Try bringing your lunches to work, you will save money and you will be able to eat delicious meals.
