Cute Food Ideas for Your Child’s Halloween Party

Halloween is such a fun time for children. They enjoy dressing up in costumes, trick or treating and eating all the candy.

Halloween is also a great time for children to enjoy themed parties. Some children will have parties in school while others will have them with friends and family. As a parent, Halloween parties mean getting creative with treats, and we’ve compiled a list of four great Halloween recipes right here.

Goblin Feet

This are so cute and tasty, and extremely easy to make. Children will think they’re awesome, and you’ll enjoy the fact that you didn’t spend all day making them.

Ingredients:

• Nutter Butter cookies

• cashews, halved

• 1 pkg. green meltable candy

Directions:

1.         Melt candy according to package directions.

2.         Once candy is melted, dip a Nutter Butter into the candy and cover completely.

3.         Place dipped Nutter Butter on wax paper.

4.         Use a spatula to smooth out any rough edges.

5.         Place three to four cashew halves on one end of the cookie (for the claws).

6.         Let the cookies set for at least one hour.

Funny Bones

Skeletons are a huge part of Halloween, and making a tasty treat that looks like bones will be the hit of any party.

Ingredients:

• 1 package white meltable candy

• 1 cup mini marshmallows

• 36 pretzel sticks

Directions:

1.         Melt the candy according to package directions.

2.         Adhere a marshmallow to each end of the pretzel.

3.         Dip pretzel and marshmallow into melted candy and cover completely.

4.         Hold bone above the bowl and let excess drip off.

5.         Place bones onto wax paper and let harden.

Monster Toes

Tasty treats don’t have to be the only thing served at a Halloween party. These cute toes provide all the fun and spookiness of a Halloween treat without all the sugar.

Ingredients:

• 1 pkg cocktail wieners

• 6-inch tortillas

• ketchup and mustard

Directions:

1.         Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.         Cut tortillas into strips about 1 inch wide.

3.         Cut a slit in the cocktail wieners to look like a toenail.

4.         Roll one cocktail wiener into a tortilla strip, making sure that the toe part of the wiener is sticking out. Secure with toothpick.

5.         Bake for 7 minutes.

6.         Place ketchup or mustard into the toenail.

Pizza Mummies

Pizza is always a huge hit with kids, and these mummies will add flair to your party.

Ingredients:

• English muffins

• black olives, sliced

• green pepper, cut into small chunks

• pizza sauce

• cheese sticks, stripped

Directions:

1.         Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.         Spread pizza sauce onto English muffins.

3.         Place olive slices as eyes.

4.         Add chunks of green pepper for eyeballs.

5.         Lay cheese strips across the muffin, leaving the eyes somewhat exposed.

6.         Bake for 10 minutes.

Each one of these treats will go over well at any child’s Halloween party. They’re all simple to make, too, which will make you happy.
