To Bean or Not To Bean

Chili Recipe

I admit it, I have to put beans in my chili.  I can’t even pretend to comprehend not having beans in chili.  But, I also have to admit, that I am not a hot spicy type of chili gal either.    I found this recipe and had to try it.  Well, it was different with the allspice, but I would make it again.  The original recipe called for 1 Tsp. onion powder, but I substitued some real onions. (Love raw onions) And only used 2 TBS of Chili Powder.  Next time I make it, I’m going to do it stove top, don’t know why that wouldn’t work, do you?

Crock Pot Chili for Sissies
2 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
2  8 oz. cans tomato sauce
5  oz. tomato paste
4  TBL chili powder
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 TBS vinegar
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garalic powder
1 cup water
2 tsp. steak sauce
1 medium chopped onion

Brown beef lightly

Put all ingredients in crock pot

Mix together well

Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours

Add more water if necessary
