I have so much to be thankful for…

I am thankful

I am so Thankful

It’s Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for. So much more than a lot of people.

I am thankful to God, Who gave me life so that I may be thankful for the following.  I am thankful to Jesus, who I believe gave His life so that I may go to heaven and even after death be with all those I am thankful for.

I have the best 4 grandkids who like to be with me, help me in any way they can and love me with all their heart.  Who get me out of the house and let me cheer for them at their school activities.  I say let me cheer because I’m pretty sure at their age, they are embarrassed by it but don’t say anything to me about it.  And, I have another grandson on the way, I can’t wait to include in my family.

I have 2 beautiful, both inside and outside, daughters who love and look after me.

I have a loving and caring son in law who loves and respects my daughter (his mamma and papa taught him well)  and helps me anyway he can.  I have a future son in law (who I can’t wait to meet) who loves and respects my daughter.

That’s a lot to be thankful for, but WAIT…  I have much more.

I have 2 brothers and their families who are always in my heart and who love and care for me.  And, guess this is the time I am thankful for Facebook, because without that I wouldn’t know what is happening in their lives we live so far away from each other.

I have in-laws (you wouldn’t even believe how many sisters there are)  who love my daughter and consider me family.

I have real, true friends who have been with me for over 20 years and a couple longer than my children have been my children.  These are not many in number but very strong in love, caring, and helping.  Friends who do so much for me and offer support in just being my friend.

I was invited to my first Chanukah.  This is something that I am very thankful for.I can’t make it this year but I will if I am invited again.  I think only 1 person knows this about me, I don’t know why or how, but somehow I feel connected to Israel and the Jewish nation.  I am a Christian, so I know this is strange.  I spent 10 days in Israel and will never forget the feelings I had.  I am thankful for that trip.

I am thankful for my job.  Oh, yea, I know I complain about it, but I am still thankful for it.  For the last 21 years, this job has not only provided an income for me, but has allowed me to be a productive part of our United States.

I am thankful that little Maddie chose me to adopt her from the humane society. She makes me move around and even bend down (not easy after my hip replacement).  She makes me be loving even when I don’t want to be.  So, Fattie Maddie, thank you.  (hey!  Don’t send hate comments, she calls me icky vicky, I can call her fattie Maddie.)

I can’t let a Thankful message go without being thankful for, QVC EASY PAY, The Good Wife, Law and Order, The Shark Tank, Reign, The Black List, Food Network, and Pawn Stars.  Not necessarily in this order.

I can’t be thankful for things in my life, without praying that you have as many things to be thankful as I do.

Valentines On A Budget

Valentines On A Budget

Romantic Dinner

Sometimes a person can be low on money when a special day comes around.  Valentine’s Day is a day that is for two people who are in love and the tradition is that gifts be exchanged.  However, what is one to do when the bank account is low and Valentine’s Day is only a few days away?    Believe it or not, two people can have a wonderful day even if they do not have a lot of money to spend on one another.  Here is more information on how to do Valentine’s Day on a budget.

Cheap Flowers

There is no day better for overindulgence then Valentine’s Day, and people really tend to blow big bucks on a lot of gifts. However, the idea is quality over quantity when you do not have a lot of money to spend.  Roses are a wonderful and beautiful gift, but some florists sell a dozen of them for at least one hundred dollars.   A great place for a low cost bouquet of flowers is a grocery store.  Many famous grocery chains have an on-site flower shop, and you can get a nice bundle of flowers for less than twenty dollars, and these flowers are just as beautiful as ones from a florist.

Romantic Dinner at Home

Another popular way to have a great Valentine’s Day is to go out for that special dinner.  However, that can turn into a big bill that can run as high as one hundred dollars.  A man or woman can take half of that, which is fifty dollars, and go to the grocery store to get that exact same meal.  With the money saved in preparing that delicious dinner at home, you can even get a nice bottle of wine and include a wonderful dessert!  Light a few candles, put on some soft music, and enjoy a meal at home with the one you love that cost a lot less, but will mean so much more.

Romantic FlowersLove

Making love is the way most couples end their special romantic day.  However, this is a great way to make it even more beautiful and special.  With the use of candles, massage oil, and a romantic fire, a couple can have a wonderful night that no one can put a price tag on.

Valentine’s Day can be expensive, but this does not have to be the case if you and your spouse are low on money.   Anyone can figure out how to do Valentine’s Day on a budget if they sit down and plan things out very carefully.  Love has no price tag, and anything done on this day can be priceless if someone puts their heart and soul into it.
