Uncommon Foods You Will Not Be Able to Live Without

Everyone knows about popular foods that they enjoy. People enjoy pizza, ice cream, pasta, steak and everything in between. With so many choices of food in this world, why limit yourself to what’s popular? You’d never think that your favorite food would be something you’ve never heard of, but you just never know. Here are some foods that you might not have heard of, but they may very well become foods that you won’t be able to live without after trying them.

  1. ChampA dish originating in Ireland, champ is a combination of mashed potato, spring onions, butter and salt and pepper that goes well with meat and fish. The mixture of rich texture and creaminess makes the perfect complement to most meats, making it a fulfilling and filling meal.

  1. Seafood Paella

All the way from Spain, this dish will be every seafood fan’s dream once they get a taste. Toss in shrimp, lobster, mussels and cuttlefish with rice and herbs, oil and salt, and you’ll realize that your life has been trite and meaningless up until this point. Well, maybe not that good, but it’s a pretty fantastic meal.

  1. 3.       Butter Garlic Crab

Why haven’t I thought of this in the past? Cooking crab in a pool of butter and garlic? That sounds like literally the most delicious thing I can think of, and it just might be. A fairly popular item in India, this definitely should be one of the world’s most popular dishes. After you try this savory, buttery crab that just oozes with flavor, you’ll understand why I feel this way.

  1. 4.       Poutine

When I first heard of this dish from Canada, I almost thought all of those big hits from playing hockey went right to their heads.Who thought that French fries, cheese and brown gravy thrown together was a good idea? Well, apparently it was, because people in Canada rave about it every time they’re eating French fries plain.

  1. 5.       Buttered Toast with Marmite

Check it out. This is going to sound pretty gross, but it’s a pretty excellent addition to your breakfast, or any other occasion where you’d eat buttered toast. While buttered toast is an elementary food item, adding the salty but sour yeast extract on top turns it into an entirely different animal. After adding the marmite, your old buttered toast becomes a symphony of flavors that blend into one magnificent orchestra, minus the percussion and brass.

I bet you’ve never heard of any of these foods before (aside from the crab. But I’ll bet you never cook it that way!), but that just gives you all the more reason to try them out one day. Like I said before, you’ll probably find another personal favorite food in there somewhere. Fire up the oven and hop on the internet to learn how to cook them. It’s going to be a full week for Michigan Buick dealers.
